Can South Africa win the Rugby World Cup?- Rassie Erasmus – The Springbok head coach says his 31-man Rugby World Cup squad is about 80% from being finalised.
This being said the Springboks has been unbeaten so far this year and with the World Cup just around the corner South African’s are feeling the pressure building up to the Rugby World Cup hosted in Japan.
Former Springbok captain Warren Whiteley backed Siya Kolisi to Captain the national side and Rassie Erasmus has confirmed that Siya Kolisi will definitely captain the Boks at the World Cup if fit after following a knee injury he suffered during Super Rugby while playing for the Stormers in May.
South Africa has won the Rugby World Cup twice, 1995 and 2007 and New Zealand, the Springboks biggest rivals has won it 3 times. Australia has also win the World Cup twice and England once.
Italian Coach Connr O’Shea has send a warning to the Springboks saying his side can cause an upset when the side meet at the World Cup. The Boks will play Italy on October 4 in Fukuroi.
South Africa will be playing in Pool B alongside New Zealand, Italy, Namibia and Canada.
