Cape Town Funny Festival - Jive

The laugh-out-loud comedy fiesta returns to the Baxter Theatre

Back in the Mother City for a four-week run, the Jive Cape Town Funny Festival (formerly the Vodacom Funny Festival) brings some of the world’s supremely talented local and international comedians together for a hilarious showdown at the Baxter Theatre from Monday, 10 June to Saturday, 7 July 2013.
Since its inception nine years ago, the humorous stand-up shindig has run at full capacity, and in 2013, the comedic affair hopes to captivate some 20, 000 comedy lovers over the course of 30 performances (there’s essentially a performance daily during the run). This year, the hilarious ensemble includes a former lead clown from the Canadian circus troupe Cirque du Soleil, a 3000mph jesting juggler and one of the world’s most entertaining comedy pianists.
Also included in the programme are a few of the hilarious skits from Good Hope FM DJs Carl Wastie and Guy McDonald.
