Coffee Mate and Dr. Pepper have joined forces to offer a unique twist on at-home beverages

Coffee Mate and Dr. Pepper have joined forces to offer a unique twist on at-home beverages with their coconut lime creamer designed specifically for crafting "dirty sodas." While Coffee Mate typically caters to coffee enthusiasts, this limited-time creamer is tailored for soda, particularly Dr. Pepper.

Scheduled for release in March, this fruity creamer will grace grocery store shelves nationwide for a suggested retail price of $3.29, available only while supplies last.

The concept of dirty soda gained traction on social media in 2022 but has long been a beloved beverage choice in Utah since the 2010s. Traditionally, it involves mixing soda with creamer or half and half, flavored syrups, and a dash of lime juice, offering a mocktail-like option that resonates with Utah's sizable Mormon population, which typically abstains from alcohol consumption due to religious beliefs.

Celebrity endorsements further propelled the popularity of dirty sodas. Notably, in December 2021, pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo shared an Instagram photo holding a cup from Swig, a renowned soda shop known for its dirty soda creations. Additionally, Lindsay Lohan starred in a Pepsi commercial spotlighting the allure of dirty soda.

On the beverage front, Coca-Cola recently unveiled a new contender to rival Dr. Pepper: Coca-Cola Spiced. This fizzy creation, marking the brand's first permanent flavor launch in three years, offers a fusion of classic Coca-Cola taste with invigorating raspberry flavors and hints of spice. Coca-Cola Spiced Zero Sugar is also available, catering to diverse taste preferences.
