Gates open at 4pm, and concerts start from 5.30pm to 7pm.
As always, the tickets for all the concerts are available online at Webtickets and at the gate on the day, depending on availability. Physical tickets will be on sale from the Tuesday before the concert at the Kirstenbosch Box Office. Come rain or shine, the concerts will go ahead.

18 May 2016 Is Iron Maiden day at Grand West Arena

 


Get ready for the most epic heavey metal concert of the season, get ready for The Book Of Souls brought to you by Iron Maiden. Piloted by vocalist Bruce Dickinson in their huge Boeing 747-400 jumbo jet, they are bringing all of their heaveiness of metal with them in the two legged South African tour.

The Cape Town Show will be at Grand West Casino & Entertainment World on Wednesday 18 May 2016

Miriah Carey Live in Cape Town Stadium 26 April 2016

Mariah Carey, is the best-selling female artist of all time, and will be performing live in South Africa for the very first time on the 1st and 2nd of May on her Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour. The tour will commence right after a sold-out Las Vegas residency and one of the most exciting years of her lengthy career, the international superstar will be taking her fans on a thrilling journey of wonder as she performs her biggest, career- defining hits.

Mariah is the magic behind hits such as All I Want for Christmas Is You, Without You, We Belong Together, Always Be My Baby, Touch My Body, My All, One Sweet Day, By Bye, Hero and others. South African fans will have the chance to catch the woman who helped define the landscape for '90s RnB. It's going to be magical, it's a given.

The show will be on the 26th of April.

The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra treats classical music lovers to a concert every Thursday in the Mother City’s historic City Hall as part of the Winter Symphony Season series, which continues on Thursday, 18 June and runs until Thursday, 25 June 2015.
With the colder seasons in full swing, classical music abounds as the Winter Symphony concerts attract acclaimed musicians from all over the world to showcase their skills in the Mother City. The weekly concerts feature renowned local and international artists who will perform works by the great composers, including symphonies by Klatzow, Mozart and Brahms.

Acclaimed conductor Viktor Yampolsky, who is Music Director Emeritus of Omaha Symphony and has conducted 90 professional and student orchestras from all over the globe, conduct the orchestra and soloist Olivier  Charlier.  Starting at the Paris Conservatory at the age of 10, Charlier has continued to wow music lovers around the globe with his violin solos. Audiences can look forward to hearing Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3, Glinka’s Overture,  A Life for the Tsar and more.

Percussionist Frank Mallows is a native Capetonian who got his start learning under John Hargreaves and Peter Hamblin. He is currently the principal of the Beau Soleil Music Centre in Kenilworth, a position he has held since 1990. Liezl Stoltz is an acclaimed flautist  and lecturer at the University of Cape Town who has shared the stage with numerous classical musicians around the world. Viktor Yampolsky will conduct the orchestra through Klatzow’s The Healing Melody, Three Paintings by Irma Stern and more.
