Cape Town - The only city in South Africa to make the 2015 Monopoly Board Game

Cape Town was the only South African city to make it onto the travel-themed board which is being developed by Monopoly makers Hasbro.
The new game will be available from Spring 2015 and will feature iconic landmark tokens and new gameplay - where players race round the board to visit as many locations as possible, collecting passport stamps along the way. Players will collect cash from visitor fees when opponents land on their locations and the first player to fill their passport wins.

We would like to thank everyone who voted for us and felt that Cape Town belonged in the game.”


The cities that made it onto the final list  for the MONOPOLY HERE & NOW: World Edition are:
