Cheese Festival from 26-29 April at Sandringham outside Stellenbosch

SA CHEESE FESTIVAL - so much more
Cheese lovers planning to visit the SA Cheese Festival from 26-29 April at Sandringham outside Stellenbosch can expect so much more: more of their favourite cheese and other mouth-watering products, more to experience, to experiment with and to enjoy.

Cheese lovers will not be disappointed: a number of boutique cheese makers from as far afield as the Natal Midlands – generously sponsored by the Western Cape Department of Agriculture – bring their artisan cheeses to the country’s largest gathering of those in awe of cheese. Make sure to taste the products from Camphill Farm Community, Buffeljagsrivier Primary School, Langbaken Karoo Cheese, Taaibosch Kaas, Anysbos, Karoo Goat’s Milk Products, Indezi River Cheese, Kasselshoop Cheese, Domino Farm, Madame Fromage and Montagu Cheese.


Tips When visiting The Cheese Festival

WHEN STILL AT HOME:
  • This is an outdoor event: wear comfortable walking shoes &
  •  remember your sunglasses and sunscreen OR umbrella and 
  • water boots
  • Toddlers might be better off in a ‘baby backpack’ than in a push cart
  • NO Domestic animals will be allowed at the Festival
  •  please leave them at home
  • Bring a cooler bag to tote your special finds back in
  • Wet wipes are a great help for those sticky cheesy fingers
  AT THE FESTIVAL:
  • There will be four ATM’s on site 
  • (2 X Standard Bank, 1 x Nedbank and 1 x Absa)
  • Read your festival programme when entering -
  • all the venue layouts and programmes of events are in there
  • There is no undercover parking available.
  •  However, parking is conveniently situated near the entrance
  • Building up a thirst: bottled water and water dispensers are available
  • Buy a tasting glass at the gate @ only R15 or bring your own
  • Driving to Sandringham on Monday and Tuesday, please tune 
  • into Bokradio 98.9Fm. 
  • They will also broadcast live from the Festival
  • No Alcohol will be served to persons under the age of 18
