  1. really dissapointed- left opening night at halftime. flew down to cape town specially to see phantom of the opera, hired a car all enthusiastic for opening night and sadly due to wet painted stage floor no movement on stage.

  2. I felt that the cast did really well despite the fact that they must have been devastated to have their opening night ruined by whoever did the planning/painting job which resulted in a sticky stage! The show went on but what a great disappointment!

  3. That really must have been a huge disappointment coming from out of town! :( Thankfully as a local, and planning on exchanging my ticket for a later date I was very impressed by their performance, despite the setbacks.

  4. when there is a show that will be running for a few months, never EVER go to a show in the opening week. There are always mistakes and everything will be sloppy. I went on January 12, and it was MINDBLOWING! Wish you guys who were disappointed could have seen it again. Now they are off to Jo'burg for a month starting on 31st January
