really dissapointed- left opening night at halftime. flew down to cape town specially to see phantom of the opera, hired a car all enthusiastic for opening night and sadly due to wet painted stage floor no movement on stage.
ReplyDeleteI felt that the cast did really well despite the fact that they must have been devastated to have their opening night ruined by whoever did the planning/painting job which resulted in a sticky stage! The show went on but what a great disappointment!
ReplyDeleteThat really must have been a huge disappointment coming from out of town! :( Thankfully as a local, and planning on exchanging my ticket for a later date I was very impressed by their performance, despite the setbacks.
ReplyDeletewhen there is a show that will be running for a few months, never EVER go to a show in the opening week. There are always mistakes and everything will be sloppy. I went on January 12, and it was MINDBLOWING! Wish you guys who were disappointed could have seen it again. Now they are off to Jo'burg for a month starting on 31st January
