Leo van der Westhuizen - Cape Town Photographer

Leo van der Westhuizen was born in 1984 Port Elizabeth, South Africa,(Growing up partially between Port Elizabeth and the Mother City) and in 2002 he left for London, England.

He always had a passion for photography, but after buying his first Nikon in Tottoham Road the fish was on the hook. His goal is to visually capture the truth in the moment as accurate as he sees it.

Over the years Leo was more focused on Landscape Shoots, but his love and passion for people and animals gave him new inspiration and a new challlenge. People and circumstances are not always easy to work with and you have to compromise the structure and work with what you have.
"It's hard to say a shoot is completed" says Leo, "There is always new idea's or somthing you could have added."

Leo also stated that a Photographer should never quit until he gets the shot required, there is no limmits on how many pictures you can take, just get the right shot at the right angle for that perfect image.

Leo will be doing a shoot this upcomming weekend with Jeanelene Fletcher, wich he consider to be a real rock and a platform in his venture of being a good photographer.
