Tesselaarsdal Fees 2016

The almost forgotten Tesselaarsdal had it's annual "Tes Fees" and hundreds of people turned out to visit the markets and take part in the festival. Fun for old and young was available with events like rope pulling competitions, egg run, and the Johan Reichert Band creating the real fest vibe.

Jumping castle's, tractor and trailer rides and quad biking was very popular among the younger as-well as the older generations.

Fresh food, vegetables, pottery and craft was produced and sold by the local farmers with Milly and crew from the local bakery that supplied cake and coffee. Mid day there was an fun auction and all proceeds went to TAG (Tesselaarsdal Action Group) to help the community with upgrades and awareness. Parking was easy and across the road from the market, De Poskantoor (an old Post Office turn into a little Restaurant) supplied refreshing drinks and light meals.

All round the festival was a great outing and the following day there was a community braai (bbq) on one of the farms where people could hook up with old and new Tesselaarsdallers. It is also tradition in Tesselaarsdal to have a  Treintjie (a Tractor with a trailers) that go around from farm to farm where people jump on and off and mingle on New Years Eve.

Make sure you book your market stall or just visit us next year at Tesselaarsdal.
