Cape Town is the Best Place to be

Being in the Tourism and Travel Industry for six years I am not always surprised when our visitors mention the fact that they felt very safe when visiting Cape Town. Cape Town is probably the only City in South Africa where you can walk around at 23:00 at night and do not have to look over your shoulder every two minutes or so to see if you are being followed or becoming a target of crime.

Also I can truly say that Cape Town is one of the cleanest cities in South Africa, even when the South Easter is at its peak and people are clinching on stop signs and traffic poles for they’re dear lives, you will find staff of the City Counsel sweeping and hosing down the roads.

What makes Cape Town so special? Of course the warmness of its people, the beautiful scenery, the mountains and our stunning beaches. Where else in South Africa do you have Flower markets running 24 hours a day, The Kaapse Klopse, a brightly lighted Table Mountain at night and a Noon Gun.  We have a Gold Museum, Roller Coaster, Magnificent Boat Cruises, Whales and The Best Wine in the World.

Busses, Trains, Taxi’s and Shuttle Services make traveling easy and convenient to get from one town to another. Cape Town Shuttles operate 24 hours and can assist you with Airport and Dinner Transfers. Cape Town Shuttles do Wine Tastings, Shark Diving and Cape Point tours. To travel in Style with Limousines, Helicopters and Luxury Boat Cruises can easily be arranged in the V & A Waterfront. Cape Town is also the only City in South Africa with a Six Star Hotel and a Restaurant that rotates 360 degrees while having dinner.

Scenic Hiking Trails to be found in Cape Town such as The Helderberg Mountain Range, Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch and Signal Hill are all easy accessible and child friendly. With play parks and animals to touch and feel, these hiking trail makes for the perfect family day out.

Welcome to Cape Town

Red Bull Formula 1 at Killarney Gardens Cape Town

The Red Bull Racing F1 Show Car event has moved to Killarney Race Track to better accommodate the crowd capacity and showcase the true potential of the Formula One car at the home of the Western Province Motor Club.

On 1 January 1960, the Cape Grand Prix was held at Killarney. This was the first time the track and the Western Cape had a taste of Formula One. Now, for the first time in over 50 years, Red Bull Racing brought F1 back to Killarney.

Driving the Formula One car in Cape Town on Sunday 27 March is Swiss native, Neel Jani, who started his racing career at the age of 12 and has since joined Red Bull Racing as an F1 test driver assisting Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber to qualify P1 and P2 at the Melbourne GP in 2010.

The Red Bull Racing Formula One Team  ran for their first time in Cape Town as they took to the track for a day of F1 speed and sound!

Waiting  to see the F1 Car in action was delayed by almost an hour and in the scorching heat the crowd forgot all once Neel Jani entered onto the track. Drifting by male and female drivers then stunned the crowed to fulfill a perfect race track day.
